How Will I Know If My Child Needs Braces and How Can They Help?
We will keep a close eye on the development of their teeth and jaws and will suggest orthodontics if we think braces are necessary. Braces can help reposition teeth that are out of alignment so they bite together correctly and this can have numerous health benefits. Your child will find their straighter teeth are easier to keep clean so they are less likely to develop common dental problems such as tooth decay and gum disease as they grow up. They’ll also benefit from having teeth that look evenly arranged, giving them a more attractive smile and facial profile.
What are Fastbraces?
At Dental Expressions, we use Fastbraces, a fixed brace that uses the latest technologies to provide predictable and quick results with minimal discomfort for your child. We prefer using fixed braces as they can treat more complex problems and enable us to move teeth extremely accurately. The braces have triangular brackets that can be made from clear ceramic or metal and which hold a single, thin wire in place. The triangular shape of the bracket enables the tooth and the tooth root to be moved at the same time, so treatment is faster.
